On February 25, 2025, the newly appointed Executive Secretary, EDSPHCDA, Dr. Coulson Osoikhai Oahimire, held his first official meeting with Medburry. The Director, Essential Drugs and Logistics EDSPHCDA Pharmacist Valentine Eruaga was in attendance.
The Head of the Legal Unit, Barrister Nora Ogbebor-Nwadiallo explained that the meeting was necessary to update the Executive Secretary on the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and to establish a clear Service Level Agreement.
Medburry is the sole distributor of drugs for 11 pilot Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs). This arrangement ensures that the drugs are of good quality, always available, and properly managed.
During the meeting, both parties agreed that Medburry would continue supplying drugs to the 11 pilot PHCs as outlined in the MOU. If Medburry wants to expand its services beyond these centers, it must first get formal approval from the Executive Secretary. EDSPHCDA remains committed to improving primary healthcare, ensuring compliance, and making essential drugs more accessible to the public
