COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MEETING OVIA NORTH EAST.

On the 27th of February 2025, The Ovia North East Local Health Authority (LHA) held a community engagement meeting in Iguoshodin Ward to promote Zero-Dose Vaccine Intensification and raise awareness about essential health concerns.

Led by the LGA health team, the event brought together partners, community leaders, politicians, religious representatives, and healthcare workers to discuss Lassa fever, priority diseases, malaria testing and treatment, and the importance of completing children’s vaccination schedules.

According to the Assistant Health Educator, Imafidon Gift, ensuring every child receives full immunization is a collective responsibility. By working together, we can reduce the spread of preventable diseases and build a healthier community.
